Inspiration boards, design concepts, and fun, unexpected ways to incorporate our linens into any event!

Galentine’s? Don’t we mean Valentine’s Day? Nope, we have that G right. While we love a good dose of romance here at Napa Valley Linens, we also recognize that sometimes you just need your girlfriends by your side. Enter Galintine’s Day, which is February 13 and it’s what the name says — it’s for gals! A day to celebrate all the single ladies, this day can be super fun to organize an event around.

With that in mind, here are some ideas for Galintine festivities.

1. Set the scene.

Okay, we’re a bit biased, but it’s true that you can set the tone with pretty linen. We recommend

2. Serve tasty snacks

Prepare some tasty snacks. Here’s a few that we love:

3. Turn on the flicks!

Here at NVL, we all got together to recommend our favorite girls’ night in movies:

  • Love Actually
  • How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
  • Bridesmaids
  • When Harry Met Sally
  • The Notebook

Different cultures bring beautiful elements to celebrations. For Chinese weddings, working in traditional themes such as lotus blossoms, dragons for luck, the color red, and the double happiness symbol are always pretty to see. Some of our linens lend themselves perfectly for these occasions.

Lotus Red

Our striking Lotus Red, available as an 84″ square linen or a table runner, creates a perfect pop of color that ties in well to other red accents.

Our River Nude overlay is a beautiful choice when you want to add just a hint of romance. An excellent choice for a sweetheart or a cake table, use a pretty lamour linen underneath it to create different looks.

One of our favorites to use underneath is Lamour Cashmere.

Our Flora Blush overlay is another great choice (also available in Matte Gold) to create a sense of glamour while still remaining soft and pretty.

We’re excited to show you what’s inspiring our New Year’s Eve plans — and it involves our friends at the Owl’s Brew!

Wise Cocktails is a new book by Jennie Ripps and Maria Littlefield, the founders of Owl’s Brew, a delicious blended tea concentrate designed to pair seamlessly with a variety of spirits (including champagne, wine, and even beer!). Wise Cocktails features recipes for brewing and mixing your own tea cocktails and tea-based beverages.

And naturally, we’ve got you covered with some beautiful linens to set the festive mood. Read on–we’ve included three cocktail recipes from Wise Cocktails at the end of this post!

Set your scene with our Lamour Sapphire under our Paris gold overlay.

Pair bright colors with our Metro Fuchsia (available only in 90″ square). (A great alternative is the Metro Orange, too!)

Pair our Coco Champagne table linen (available in 108″ round and 132″ round) with some sleek Lamour Ruby Slippers napkins (also available in 108″ and 132″ round, 90″x 156″, and 108″x 156″), and you’ve got a swanky setup.

Next, create your cocktails using the Owl’s Brew tea mixers. Here are a few recipes from Wise Cocktails to get you started:

Use a tea linen or place the green rooibos, ginger, apple and fenugreek directly in the pan with the simple syrup. Let sit for 1 hour, stirring from time to time. Remove the sachet or use a tea strainer to strain out the added ingredients. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Pour 1 oz. of the tea base-infused syrup into a glass over ice. Add 6 oz. of sparkling water and stir.
