We’re excited to show you what’s inspiring our New Year’s Eve plans — and it involves our friends at the Owl’s Brew!

Wise Cocktails is a new book by Jennie Ripps and Maria Littlefield, the founders of Owl’s Brew, a delicious blended tea concentrate designed to pair seamlessly with a variety of spirits (including champagne, wine, and even beer!). Wise Cocktails features recipes for brewing and mixing your own tea cocktails and tea-based beverages.

And naturally, we’ve got you covered with some beautiful linens to set the festive mood. Read on–we’ve included three cocktail recipes from Wise Cocktails at the end of this post!

Next, create your cocktails using the Owl’s Brew tea mixers. Here are a few recipes from Wise Cocktails to get you started:

 

Sweet Nothings Toddy

Tea Base
1 1/4 teaspoons rooibos
1/2 teaspoon chopped vanilla bean
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cocktail
3 oz. brewed tea base
3 oz. milk
1 1/2 oz. bourbon
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions
Heat 6 oz. of water until hot, but not boiling, and pour into a heat safe container. In a tea linen or tea ball, combine all of the ingredients for the tea base. Brew in hot water for 5 minutes, gently agitating from time to time. Remove the tea sachet/ball.

Pour 3 oz. of the ta base into a saucepan. Add milk, bourbon and sugar. Let sit over low heat, stirring from time to time, for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. Pour into a heat-safe mug and garnish with the a cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon.

 

Winter Soda

Simple Syrup
8 oz. Water
8 oz. Sugar

Tea Base
1 teaspoon green rooibos
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon chopped dried apple
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek

Tea Soda
1 oz. tea simple syrup
6 oz. sparkling water

Directions
To make the simple syrup: Pour the 8 oz. of water into a pan and ring to a boil. Once the water boils, immediately stir in the sugar until the mixture is clear. You’ll use only 1 oz. per soda. Use a tea linen or place the green rooibos, ginger, apple and fenugreek directly in the pan with the simple syrup. Let sit for 1 hour, stirring from time to time. Remove the sachet or use a tea strainer to strain out the added ingredients. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Pour 1 oz. of the tea base-infused syrup into a glass over ice. Add 6 oz. of sparkling water and stir.

 

White Mule

Tea Base

1 teaspoon white tea leaves
1/2 teaspoon chopped lemongrass
1/2 teaspoon dried peach

Cocktail
3 1/2 oz. brewed tea base
3/4 tablespoon agave nectar
3 oz. ginger beer

Directions
In a cup, place 5 oz. of room temperature water. In  tea linen or ta ball, combine all the ingredients for th tea base. Brew in the room temperature water for 10 minutes, agitating from time to time. Remove the sachet/ball.

In a shaker, combine 3 1/2 oz. of tea base, vodka and agave nectar. Dry shake until the agave dissolves. Pour into a glass over ice and gentry swirl to chill. Top with ginger beer and gently swirl again. Garnish with a fresh ginger slice.
