We were delighted to be a part of this Dark Romance editorial from Milou + Olin Photography and Creative Flow Co. featuring an enchanted garden set in the Berkeley Hills. The unique private estate at Panoramic Hills created a beautiful hideaway set above the Bay Area fog, with brick walls, vaulted ceilings, and a rich ambiance. Our brilliant Faux de Soie Magenta linen set the tone for a majestic palette of bright berry, black, and rich gold.
Deep colors, opulent metallics, and a thoroughly modern bridal look combined for a luxurious and on-trend shoot! The bride’s modern wedding dress created a romantic canvas for her dramatic bouquet by Tango & Foxtrot – bright fuchsia blooms, fresh greenery, and dark berries made a splash against her ruffled crop top and flowing skirt. The Sweetheart Table was set with our faux silk linen in Magenta and accented with onyx chargers. The luxe texture and bold color of the faux silk added a gorgeous sheen to the relatively simple table linen. China, flatware, and glassware were all in bold gold, with splashes of color from the watercolor print on the menu and a velvet ribbon at each place setting.
A dessert table was set beneath one of the windows showing a view of the Bay, with petite desserts by Lovely and Sweet Events surrounding a wedding cake from Pretty Please Bakeshop. The matte black cake was delicately adorned with glimmering gold leaf and accented with paper flowers in marsala, mauve, and blush to tie in the rich palette of the shoot.
Leslie and John’s rooftop wedding in San Francisco has been a favorite of ours ever since it first appeared in Today’s Bride Magazine! Local wedding planner extraordinaire, Morgan Events, helped them realize a modern glam wedding day that incorporated a luxurious palette of charcoal, fuchsia, and plum.
The roof deck of the The St. Regis San Francisco created a stunning blank canvas for Leslie and John’s wedding ceremony. A billowing chuppah of charcoal silk created a dramatic echo to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, showcasing the dramatic blending of ultramodern and old world Californian architecture. White chairs and clusters of plum and fuchsia flowers created a clean look, showcasing Leslie and John’s vows.
Guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the open air deck, dotted in tables with our Faux de Soie Tahitian Pearl as a nod to the ceremony draping. The Ballroom of the St. Regis had been transformed with violet lights, a crisp white dance floor, and enormous, brightly color floral arrangements by Michael Daigian Design. Our gorgeously graphic printed Ankara Metal linens added a strong counterpoint to the profusion of bright flowers, with a gleaming gunmetal pattern that provided contrast to the lushly overflowing arrangements. Mirrored vessels and ruffled peonies added texture and dimension to each place setting, complementing the modern metallic hues on the tabletop.
One of the best things about being in the special event industry are the amazing, creative connections that we’ve made – in the San Francisco Bay Area, and all around the world! The incredible Very Mary Inspired invited us to take part in her Sketchbook Series, a workshop for creative professionals; whether we were sending gorgeous linens for attendees to sketch or hosting a workshop in our showroom, we have loved being a part of her classes! Now she is taking the Sketchbook Series all around the country, and we are so excited to be going with her (at least, our linens are)! Next stop – Maui!
Tomorrow is the workshop in Maui, where Hawaiian event professionals will learn to bring their designs and concepts to life through incredible, creative sketches. Mary is touring the US after that, with stops in Sacramento, Atlanta, LA, and New York City! Check out upcoming cities and classes here!
We were delighted to be a part of The Sketchbook Series East Bay in a big way, by playing host to some of the Bay Area’s most talented event designers and florists in our newly refurbished showroom! True to the spirit of the class, Mary sketched a phenomenal dessert bar to inspire attendees, realizing her vision with Bay Area dessert and design specialists Honeycomb Events & Design. They turned each, intricate detail of her design into delicious reality with a modern, geometric display in a playful palette of aqua, yellow, and coral. A cheerful, patterned cake from The Whole Cake added a fun pop to the geometric inspired treats, asymmetrical backdrop, and hanging gem chandelier, while Soul Flower Design Studio provided truly gorgeous floral designs to accent the spread and our showroom. We picked up her palette with linens in soft shades of aqua, with our raw silk Faux de Soie Aqua and geometric Tetris Aqua Table Runners. We are so excited
We’re jumping from wine country to the big city with today’s shoot – a glamorous rooftop wedding in the heart of New York City! An amazing team of Bay Area wedding pros headed to the East Coast to bring this urban glam bridal shoot to life. Our frequent collaborator and designer extraordinaire Christine Cater Wedding and Event Floral Design asked us if we would like to be a part of the magic and of course, we said yes!
This talented team from the Bay Area braved chilly NYC winter winds to capture this wildly glam shoot at the Tribeca Rooftop Lounge. Wintery silver pieces and mirrored elements gave the decor a crisp, modern look that was perfect for the city surroundings, along with chic black and white details. Grace Aston Photography wowed us with her incredible portraits of an elegant city bride in a La Sposa gown, with a feather adorned bodice and fluttering chiffon skirt. A pair of jeweled Prada heels added a welcome hint of rich color in the Pantone Color of the Year, Marsala. As much as we love the sparkling silver cocktail station in our signature Paris Silver and the amazing ombre purple florals, our favorite detail has to be the adorable dog in a striped ribbon tie!
Participating in an ISES showcase event is always a pleasure – it gives us a change to spend time with some of the wedding and special event industry’s most talented and dedicated professionals! Wedding and event pros are some of the most social, talented, and innovative folks that we have had the pleasure of meeting, and something new and unique is always the result when we get together. Today’s ISES Napa-Sonoma Showcase is no exception! Many thanks to Gina Petersen Photography for sharing these photos with us!
These events are always incredibly collaborative, and give us a chance to try fresh ideas that we’d love to share with our clients. Encore Events Rentals was behind the styling for this event, inspired by the rustic industrial vibe of a new wine country venue, The Barlow in Sebastopol. The vaulted ceilings, concrete floor, and wooden interiors didn’t call for anything fussy or traditionally feminine, and we loved the look that Encore put together with wooden farm tables, metal chairs, and some of our bold, patterned linens! The combination of Ankara Metal, Niya Black and Ivory, and Houndstooth Runners looked perfect in the modern, industrial space, complemented by black goblets and pierced metal candle holders for dramatic tabletop decor. Aimee Lomeli Designs created low floral arrangements in soft yellow and dusty green – coxcomb and fiddlehead ferns added modern elements to the floral design that tied them in beautifully with the table decor! In the courtyard outside, cocktail tables set with Faux de Soie Citron linens held rustic metal lanterns and succulent arrangements, perfect for guests enjoying the food truck and local wineries!
