Different cultures bring beautiful elements to celebrations. For Chinese weddings, working in traditional themes such as lotus blossoms, dragons for luck, the color red, and the double happiness symbol are always pretty to see. Some of our linens lend themselves perfectly for these occasions.

Lotus Red

Our striking Lotus Red, available as an 84″ square linen or a table runner, creates a perfect pop of color that ties in well to other red accents.

River

Our River Nude overlay is a beautiful choice when you want to add just a hint of romance. An excellent choice for a sweetheart or a cake table, use a pretty lamour linen underneath it to create different looks.

Next, create your cocktails using the Owl’s Brew tea mixers. Here are a few recipes from Wise Cocktails to get you started:

Sweet Nothings Toddy

Tea Base
1 1/4 teaspoons rooibos

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Cocktail
3 oz. brewed tea base
3 oz. milk
1 1/2 oz. bourbon
1 tablespoon sugar

Directions
Heat 6 oz. of water until hot, but not boiling, and pour into a heat safe container. In a tea linen or tea ball, combine all of the ingredients for the tea base. Brew in hot water for 5 minutes, gently agitating from time to time. Remove the tea sachet/ball.

Pour 3 oz. of the ta base into a saucepan. Add milk, bourbon and sugar. Let sit over low heat, stirring from time to time, for 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. Pour into a heat-safe mug and garnish with the a cinnamon stick and ground cinnamon.

Winter Soda

Simple Syrup
8 oz. Water
8 oz. Sugar

Tea Base
1 teaspoon green rooibos
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
3/4 teaspoon chopped dried apple
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek

Use a tea linen or place the green rooibos, ginger, apple and fenugreek directly in the pan with the simple syrup. Let sit for 1 hour, stirring from time to time. Remove the sachet or use a tea strainer to strain out the added ingredients. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Pour 1 oz. of the tea base-infused syrup into a glass over ice. Add 6 oz. of sparkling water and stir.

Wise Cocktails and The Owl’s Brew Tea: The Owl’s Brew

This gorgeous and rustic Big Sur wedding combined a natural setting with beautiful blush and gold tones, accented with a blue that matched the mesmerizing Pacific ocean below the cliffs of the Wind and Sea Estate. Wedding planner Jutta Lammerts, from A Day Like No Other worked with Krista and Benjamin long-distance to capture the essence of the beloved state where Krista and Ben met.

Family and togetherness was the focus of the day, with a cocktail hour and oyster bar following the ceremony that provided guests with unobstructed views of the sun setting over the ocean. A farm-to-table dinner by Amy Padilla of Feel Good Foods Catering brought focus to the simple goodness of dining–which was accented by our Chevron white and blush table runner, and set with our Lamour Glinda napkins. Settings were topped with whimsical gilded Australian animals, giving the event a truly glamorous feel at this naturally stunning location on the rugged California coastline.

Every time Mary Phan contacts us to be a part of the Sketchbook Series, we can’t wait to see what concept she will come up with! At the Sacramento event, bold fall florals were the way to go, and we loved seeing them accented with our gorgeous Brighton Cayenne linens! The clean, industrial style of Studio 817 Events was such a perfect fit for the bright and bohemian pattern, with a dramatic paisley print in vivid colors. The linens made an incredible statement against the white brick walls, especially when paired with hanging floral garlands by Bloomers Floral Design!

Attendees learned to bring their vision for client’s weddings to life, drawing detailed vignettes that help couples planning their big day envision colors, textures, and materials. Having our linens included in such an amazing resource for our creative community is always a delight!
